According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2003 Q4, the average weekly wage for West Virginia was $587. Among all West Virginia counties, Boone County had the highest average weekly wage ($761), followed by Pleasants County ($746), and Marshall County ($738).

On the other hand, Wirt County had the lowest average weekly wage ($392), followed by Tucker County ($407), and Summers County ($424).
