According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2004 Q4, the average weekly wage for West Virginia was $620. Among all West Virginia counties, Boone County had the highest average weekly wage ($840), followed by Marshall County ($768), and Pleasants County ($768).

On the other hand, Tucker County had the lowest average weekly wage ($416), followed by Wirt County ($418), and Summers County ($433).
