According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2005 Q2, the average weekly wage for West Virginia was $612. Among all West Virginia counties, Boone County had the highest average weekly wage ($872), followed by Pleasants County ($854), and Marshall County ($789).

On the other hand, Tucker County had the lowest average weekly wage ($445), followed by Summers County ($448), and Wetzel County ($463).
