According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2005 Q3, the average weekly wage for West Virginia was $589. Among all West Virginia counties, Boone County had the highest average weekly wage ($726), followed by Marshall County ($723), and Mingo County ($672).

On the other hand, Wirt County had the lowest average weekly wage ($332), followed by Summers County ($387), and Wetzel County ($406).
