According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2008 Q1, the average weekly wage for West Virginia was $677. Among all West Virginia counties, Boone County had the highest average weekly wage ($906), followed by Mingo County ($826), and Marshall County ($824).

On the other hand, Tucker County had the lowest average weekly wage ($418), followed by Wirt County ($432), and Wetzel County ($472).
