According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2008 Q4, the average weekly wage for West Virginia was $734. Among all West Virginia counties, Boone County had the highest average weekly wage ($1.04K), followed by Mingo County ($934), and Putnam County ($875).

On the other hand, Tucker County had the lowest average weekly wage ($462), followed by Wirt County ($474), and Summers County ($512).
