According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2011 Q4, the average weekly wage for West Virginia was $776. Among all West Virginia counties, Boone County had the highest average weekly wage ($1.08K), followed by Mingo County ($1.04K), and McDowell County ($977).

On the other hand, Wirt County had the lowest average weekly wage ($484), followed by Tucker County ($492), and Pocahontas County ($514).
