According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2012 Q4, the average weekly wage for West Virginia was $788. Among all West Virginia counties, Boone County had the highest average weekly wage ($1.01K), followed by Mingo County ($1.01K), and Marshall County ($945).

On the other hand, Wirt County had the lowest average weekly wage ($499), followed by Tucker County ($506), and Pocahontas County ($518).
