According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2016 Q2, the average weekly wage for West Virginia was $801. Among all West Virginia counties, Marshall County had the highest average weekly wage ($967), followed by Putnam County ($956), and Monongalia County ($899).

On the other hand, Pocahontas County had the lowest average weekly wage ($604), followed by Pendleton County ($616), and Hampshire County ($618).
