According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in June 2022, the United States not seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Boston-Cambridge-Newton, MA-NH was 372.16 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 50.1%. The following item categories had the highest not seasonally adjusted 12-month percent change in CPI-U:

  1. Motor fuel: 68.7%
  2. Household energy: 37%
  3. Food at home: 10.5%
