According to data from the US BLS, in March 2022, the United States Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): East North Central was 115.714 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 8.5%% (not seasonally adjusted). The Motor fuel item had the highest 12-month percent change or inflation rate (48.3%), followed by New and used motor vehicles (23.4%), and Household energy (13.1%).
