According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in September 2022, the United States not seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Urban Alaska was 376.667 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 15.9%. The following item categories had the highest not seasonally adjusted 12-month percent change in CPI-U:

  1. Motor fuel: 29.5%
  2. Owners' equivalent rent of residences: 9.8%
  3. Rent of primary residence: 7.4%
