According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2016:

  1. California: 4,800
  2. New York: 2,600
  3. Florida: 2,300

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2016:

  1. Louisiana: -3,400
  2. Ohio: -1,200
  3. Kentucky: -900
