According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2019:

  1. Florida: 1,700
  2. Georgia: 1,100
  3. New York: 1,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2019:

  1. District of Columbia: -1,300
  2. Montana: 0
  3. Michigan: 0
