According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2015:

  1. California: 14,400
  2. New York: 10,100
  3. New Jersey: 5,600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2015:

  1. Illinois: -3,400
  2. Mississippi: -400
  3. Nebraska: 0
