According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2012:

  1. Indiana: 2,400
  2. Ohio: 2,000
  3. Minnesota: 1,800

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2012:

  1. Alaska: -1,200
  2. New Jersey: -1,100
  3. Kansas: -700
