According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Professional and Business Services industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2007:

  1. North Carolina: 1,700
  2. Mississippi: 700
  3. Alabama: 600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Professional and Business Services industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2007:

  1. New York: -12,500
  2. Florida: -6,600
  3. Illinois: -5,500
