  2. Johnson: 2,111
  3. Linn: 1,117
  4. Story: 1,042
  5. Scott: 720
  6. Woodbury: 671
  7. Black Hawk: 601
  8. Dubuque: 322
  9. Pottawattamie: 254
  10. Des Moines: 237

The following were the rankings of the top 10 Iowa counties based on the number of Federal Government jobs added to All Industries in August 2020:

  1. Polk: 285
  2. Story: 105
  3. Scott: 69
  4. Linn: 59
  5. Black Hawk: 56
  6. Dubuque: 46
  7. Woodbury: 40
  8. Pottawattamie: 37
  9. Muscatine: 31
  10. Des Moines: 28
