According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in March, 2019, New Mexico added the highest number of jobs to the federal government general merchandise stores industry (3), followed by Washington (3), and Maryland (2).

On the other hand, Texas added the least number of jobs (-58), followed by Hawaii (-56), and California (-56).
