According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in March, 2020, California added the highest number of jobs to the federal government general merchandise stores industry (31), followed by Maryland (9), and South Carolina (8).

On the other hand, Texas added the least number of jobs (-57), followed by Virginia (-55), and Oklahoma (-13).
