According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2020, California added the highest number of jobs to the federal government general merchandise stores industry (388), followed by North Carolina (78), and Arizona (17).

On the other hand, Virginia added the least number of jobs (-88), followed by Hawaii (-47), and Oklahoma (-41).
