According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2021, Maryland added the highest number of jobs to the federal government national security and international affairs industry (103), followed by Virginia (102), and North Carolina (79).

On the other hand, California added the least number of jobs (-131), followed by New York (-66), and Mississippi (-59).
