  5. San Bernardino: 100,343
  6. Santa Clara: 79,446
  7. Alameda: 74,710
  8. Sacramento: 65,144
  9. Fresno: 52,801
  10. San Francisco: 49,005

The following were the rankings of the top 10 California counties based on the number of Local Government jobs added to All Industries in January 2020:

  1. Orange: 11,384
  2. Sacramento: 3,160
  3. Placer: 2,176
  4. Riverside: 2,138
  5. Alameda: 2,041
  6. Contra Costa: 1,678
  7. San Luis Obispo: 1,620
  8. Stanislaus: 1,568
  9. Imperial: 1,405
  10. Fresno: 383
