According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January, 2019, Alaska added the highest number of jobs to the local government service-providing industry (), followed by Arizona (), and Arkansas ().

On the other hand, Alabama added the least number of jobs (-1,451), followed by Wyoming (), and Wisconsin ().
