According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2019, California added the highest number of jobs to the local government heavy and civil engineering construction industry (132), followed by Texas (58), and Oklahoma (57).

On the other hand, Maine added the least number of jobs (-55), followed by Ohio (-42), and Connecticut (-21).
