According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2019, California added the highest number of jobs to the local government highway, street, and bridge construction industry (142), followed by Tennessee (75), and Texas (52).

On the other hand, Maine added the least number of jobs (-55), followed by Ohio (-41), and Connecticut (-21).
