According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January, 2020, Maryland added the highest number of jobs to the local government transit and ground passenger transportation industry (), followed by New York (4,014), and California (1,512).

On the other hand, Minnesota added the least number of jobs (-579), followed by Georgia (-140), and Illinois (-135).
