According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2019, California added the highest number of jobs to the local government elementary and secondary schools industry (6,133), followed by Illinois (2,644), and Massachusetts (2,415).

On the other hand, New Jersey added the least number of jobs (-1,266), followed by Louisiana (-603), and Arizona (-443).
