According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January, 2020, North Carolina added the highest number of jobs to the local government junior colleges industry (), followed by North Dakota (-17), and South Dakota (-53).

On the other hand, Texas added the least number of jobs (-12,999), followed by New York (-12,529), and New Jersey (-4,077).
