According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in September, 2019, Maine added the highest number of jobs to the local government executive, legislative and general government industry (-104), followed by Rhode Island (-173), and New Mexico (-175).

On the other hand, New York added the least number of jobs (-21,156), followed by New Jersey (-11,546), and Minnesota (-5,323).
