According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in June, 2021, New Jersey added the highest number of jobs to the local government executive, legislative and general government industry (7,492), followed by New York (6,671), and Illinois (5,999).
On the other hand, Rhode Island added the least number of jobs (85), followed by Vermont (142), and Louisiana (156).
