According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in July, 2019, Maryland added the highest number of jobs to the local government justice, public order, and safety activities industry (572), followed by New York (512), and New Mexico (182).

On the other hand, Massachusetts added the least number of jobs (-832), followed by Pennsylvania (-747), and Utah (-435).
