According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in August, 2019, Washington added the highest number of jobs to the local government administration of environmental programs industry (27), followed by South Carolina (14), and Texas (5).

On the other hand, New York added the least number of jobs (-454), followed by West Virginia (-265), and Louisiana (-206).
