According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2019, Louisiana added the highest number of jobs to the private oil and gas extraction industry (173), followed by Texas (132), and Ohio (74).

On the other hand, Oklahoma added the least number of jobs (-154), followed by Wyoming (-64), and Colorado (-40).
