According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in August, 2019, Michigan added the highest number of jobs to the private oil and gas extraction industry (37), followed by Alaska (36), and Florida (18).

On the other hand, Oklahoma added the least number of jobs (-213), followed by Colorado (-75), and North Dakota (-69).
