According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in February, 2019, Texas added the highest number of jobs to the private oil and gas extraction industry (155), followed by New Mexico (54), and North Dakota (27).

On the other hand, Louisiana added the least number of jobs (-27), followed by Alabama (-27), and California (-20).
