According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2019, New Mexico added the highest number of jobs to the private oil and gas extraction industry (33), followed by North Dakota (25), and Kansas (21).

On the other hand, Oklahoma added the least number of jobs (-96), followed by Colorado (-79), and Texas (-31).
