According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2021, Texas added the highest number of jobs to the private oil and gas extraction industry (41), followed by Louisiana (24), and Pennsylvania (16).

On the other hand, Colorado added the least number of jobs (-92), followed by Oklahoma (-89), and Alaska (-57).
