According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in October, 2019, Kentucky added the highest number of jobs to the private mining, except oil and gas industry (305), followed by Virginia (162), and Texas (72).

On the other hand, West Virginia added the least number of jobs (-549), followed by Arizona (-309), and Wisconsin (-163).
