According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January, 2020, Hawaii added the highest number of jobs to the private mining, except oil and gas industry (), followed by Rhode Island (), and Arizona (496).

On the other hand, Kentucky added the least number of jobs (-927), followed by Illinois (-432), and West Virginia (-390).
