According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January, 2021, Mississippi added the highest number of jobs to the private mining, except oil and gas industry (175), followed by Georgia (161), and West Virginia (147).

On the other hand, Pennsylvania added the least number of jobs (-519), followed by New York (-472), and Iowa (-429).
