According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2020, Virginia added the highest number of jobs to the private fiber, yarn, and thread mills industry (), followed by Idaho (-1), and Florida (-2).

On the other hand, North Carolina added the least number of jobs (-2,973), followed by Georgia (-2,581), and South Carolina (-754).
