According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in August, 2019, California added the highest number of jobs to the private petroleum and coal products manufacturing industry (34), followed by Kansas (34), and Mississippi (16).

On the other hand, Louisiana added the least number of jobs (-91), followed by Texas (-76), and Illinois (-65).
