According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in September, 2019, Illinois added the highest number of jobs to the private transportation equipment manufacturing industry (440), followed by California (95), and South Carolina (73).

On the other hand, Michigan added the least number of jobs (-1,101), followed by Ohio (-778), and Connecticut (-658).
