According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January, 2021, Vermont added the highest number of jobs to the private shoe stores industry (-1), followed by Montana (-2), and Wyoming (-2).

On the other hand, California added the least number of jobs (-2,383), followed by Texas (-1,548), and New York (-1,041).
