According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in July, 2019, Washington added the highest number of jobs to the private rail transportation industry (), followed by Missouri (2), and Ohio (1).

On the other hand, California added the least number of jobs (-6), followed by Florida (-4), and Minnesota (-2).
