According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in December, 2019, Tennessee added the highest number of jobs to the private inland water transportation industry (28), followed by Louisiana (23), and Virginia (21).

On the other hand, Texas added the least number of jobs (-81), followed by Washington (-67), and Illinois (-62).
