According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2020, Idaho added the highest number of jobs to the private inland water transportation industry (), followed by Alaska (23), and Minnesota (17).

On the other hand, New Jersey added the least number of jobs (-426), followed by Tennessee (-280), and New York (-262).
