According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in August, 2020, California added the highest number of jobs to the private motion picture and sound recording industries industry (19,353), followed by New York (2,679), and Georgia (1,804).

On the other hand, West Virginia added the least number of jobs (-78), followed by Tennessee (-74), and Michigan (-45).
