According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in August, 2021, California added the highest number of jobs to the private scientific research and development services industry (1,341), followed by Washington (151), and Pennsylvania (145).

On the other hand, New York added the least number of jobs (-710), followed by Illinois (-167), and Alabama (-115).
